I want you to try to stand on one leg. We’re going to use this Shuttle Balance System to challenge balance at a much higher level. This Shuttle Balance System is picture a suspension bridge. It’s a moving platform. And so this is going to make someone work at a much higher level. It’s going to focus on the ankle muscles necessary to have good balance. It’s going to work on reaction time so that if a person’s in the community and say they are on an uneven surface, such as grass or gravel or they’re stepping over obstacles or they’re slipping on a wet surface, this is going to help them make quicker reaction time to avoid falls and be able to maneuver how they need to.
